Founded by Taesun Kim in Boston, Massachusetts, Studio Side Project's mission is to redefine sustainability through the lens of outdoor gear.

The journey began with a simple realization: the material used in car airbags is not only strong but also surprisingly water-repellent, making it ideal for crafting functional accessories that can withstand the rigors of everyday life. But what truly sparked my inspiration was the unfortunate reality that once an airbag is deployed, it cannot be recycled and often ends up in landfills.

Each product is a one-of-a-kind piece, bearing the distinctive colors and markings of the car it was salvaged from at the junk yard.
